Duties and Responsibilities
In conjunction with Sales and Product Marketing organizations, contribute to the development of key strategies and action plans
Provide input to resolve milling range and support the development of new products for the product range
Assist in identifying customers, components, and milling applications for the organization to target focused on the Where to Compete Strategy
Provide market input to the Product Specialists, Product Management & R&D organization on new milling applications and competitor activity
Develop focused sales plans in collaboration with the zone managers, regional managers, business development professionals, and field sales to grow revenue in milling products ahead of the market in the defined segments
Technically support field sales in the development of target accounts through selected milling products and growth opportunities for Seco products.
Provide our customer base with technical support relating to the design, delivery, and application of Seco milling products
In conjunction with the Product Marketing and R&D organization, develop new processing techniques and tooling concepts to support sales in key market segments and share those successes with other specialists
Develop and maintain contacts and relationships at all appropriate levels with key customers
Coordinate response to technical issues with customers relative to performance, design, and delivery of our products
Support the Seco Process Engineering team by assisting in the qualification and solution development of milling products functioned in the CET department
Coordinate new product and solution development within the Americas.
Provide detailed input to the Product Marketing and R&D organization regarding customer needs, competitive actions/products, and product development requirements for the Americas market
Provide communication to product marketing regarding the status of the product range and plans for the development or reduction of the product offering
Participate in the Seco Tools R&D process to help develop new product concepts for high-volume opportunities
Coordinate testing in the Americas and provide detailed feedback on product development projects
Coordinate with Product Marketing on the development of plans for the introduction of new products in the Americas market, including product training, target account planning, and transition of older products
Training of Technical Specialists and Application Engineers
Attend advanced product and applications training sessions for the product range and Where to Compete components
Assist in the development and training of application engineers and technical field sales on the Where to Compete Components
Sales growth at targeted customers
Assist field sales personnel in identifying and qualifying projects with significant incremental sales at targeted customers, with an eye on the where to compete strategy, through focused effort, including validated solution development, implementation, and documenting productivity gains
Participate in customer presentations with field sales personnel at targeted customers
Assist in expanding the account base and growth of sales of milling products through personal involvement, demonstration of our capabilities, and implementation of validated machining techniques.
Top performers will possess a minimum of 13-15 years of experience in the metal machining business and 19 years of sales and or applications experience in the metalworking industry.
Qualifications:
Strong management experience and milling knowledge
Considered a technical leader in both the manufacturing process and milling application of metal-cutting products
Shown work ethic and dedication to achieving customer expectations in line with Seco business goals
Demonstrates good oral, and written communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Willing and able to travel 30-50% - driving up to 5 hours/air travel up to 12 hours
Ability to work in manufacturing environment
Carrying - not to exceed 50 lbs
Experience:
Degree in marketing, sales, engineering, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education
Proven ability to train & develop the technical and personal skills of others
Ability to plan, implement and affect the growth of sales at targeted customers
