Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for “filling the bucket”
1. Perform market research to identify companies (Total Addressable Market (TAM)) that fit the ideal customer profiles across multiple products.
a. Leverage internal tools like Sales navigator, ZoomInfo, D&B Hoovers (training will be provided on those) as well as external sources such as industry sites, event exhibitors, and company websites that the person will need to identify via research.
b. Develop lists of companies based on this research and leverage internal tools and manual entry to add to our CRM
Evaluating those newly identified companies for fit:
1. Score new companies (either new TAM that was pulled or new entries from acquisitions) en masse via tools and/or Excel data models against our segmentation algorithms
2. Establish Go-To-Market (GTM) priorities for companies that fit the profiles for multiple products in our portfolio.
Redirect or “empty the bucket” for companies that are deemed not a good fit
3. Assess companies disqualified for fit for a specific product to either direct it to another product or remove it from consideration. Perform research to determine appropriate action and update it within the systems.
Modelling and reporting:
4. Support efforts to create new segmentation algorithms. Lead the data aspects of these efforts by being the point person pulling the data from our CRM or other sources, scoring the data against the factors, and making some recommendations to scoring criteria to improve the model’s ability to target the right profiles.
5. Support and/or lead periodic efforts to assess the fit of our existing algorithms against our ideal customer profiles.
Create reports to show progress against goal of building and maintaining a database of companies appropriate to target, e.g. new companies added, mix against the targeted profiles, number of companies disqualified, etc.
Job Specification:
Education: Any Degree
Shift Time : 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Work Experience (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position)
· 5 -8 years of data quality or similar level data analysis experience required.
· Experience with CRM required (Salesforce.com preferred)
· Advanced experience with Excel – building and manipulating large datasets, building models and assessing against fit to specific criteria required.
· Experience with Segmentation modelling required
· Experience pulling large sets of data from tools – CRMs or external tools such as D&B required.
· Experience with SQL or similar preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Excellent technical skills.
· Detail oriented
· Curiosity.
· Strong understanding of databases and data structures and comfort with large datasets
· Strong analytical and time management skills
· Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Self-starter with take charge mentality and a track record and ability to “get things done”
· Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.
· Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.
