Description
The Senior Stars Improvement Professional develops, implements, and manages projects as part of the Northeast Region Medicare Stars Improvement Program. Directs all Stars quality improvement programs and initiatives. The Senior Stars Improvement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Responsibilities
The Senior Stars Improvement Professional works via virtual and in-person collaboration with providers to improve Northeast Region Stars performance. Assignments will change and be varied throughout the year. The position partners with Corporate partners and the Regional Stars team regarding progress on the market's performance.
Manages regional marketing and member communications projects.
Maintains collaborative relationships (PE, MRA, Clinical Team , FFS SPs, etc.)
Instills focus on Stars/Quality performance
Advances our ability to communicate actionable insights at the appropriate moments of influence to drive the next best action
Actively supports team engagement performance, well-being improvement plans, and team activities
Articulates and models desired culture attributes
Documents and communicates results

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Healthcare or a related field
2 years Medicare and/or Stars experience
Understanding of CMS Stars, performance measures, HEDIS knowledge and experience
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and focus on process and quality
Excellent communication skills, both in person and virtual
Ability to operate under tight deadlines
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field
Progressive experience in the healthcare industry
Prior managed care experience
Ability to manage across all levels of the organization
Understanding of Consumer/Patient Experience
Understanding of metrics, trends and the ability to identify gaps in care
Proven organizational and prioritization skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Background working in quality improvements
Additional Information
This position will be based in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut or Louisville, KY. Work at Home, with up to 25% travel when it is deemed safe.
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
