The Role:
This exciting and newly formed role that sits within the marketing brand team, where you will report directly to the Brand Manager – Owned Channels. This role will see you help shape and evolve the successful email marketing channel for Compare the Market as we shift the way we communicate to serve our customers across their journey.
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will help develop unique email angles, carry out research, and data analysis to produce these with a strong consumer focus.
Creating content and targeting products to key customer segments at different life stages.
Research facts to substantiate all content produced.
Regularly review and provide insight and suggestions into current content outputs across our journey emails.
Planning and building eDM content to generate sales, increase open rates, click through rates and other metrics as agreed
Provide input into email design to enhance copy and create compelling email storytelling
Support with strategic/project-based technical projects to advance email channel capabilities.
Foster and guide ongoing improvements in writing quality, both in your own and in your peers’ outputs

The successful candidate will have a passion for improving financial literacy and a strong understanding of the challenges everyday Australians face in saving money.

strive to be above the market and are comfortable to build working relationships and you’re an expert at taking complex topics and turning that into compelling copy that gets attention, drives action and informs.
It goes without saying, you’ll have a proven writing ability, exceptional organisational skills and precise attention to detail.
Knowledge and Experience:
3 years’ experience in a similar marketing or journalism role
Creative, enthusiastic, and willing to learn/expand their knowledge and skills.
Proven editorial skills at both proactive and reactive content creation
Outstanding command of the English language with excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, organising skills, scheduling, and work-flow planning.
Ability to translate complex or technical information to a range of stakeholders and audiences.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, as a key team player and autonomously.
