Brand Strategist/Manager Job Description
Title: Brand Strategist/Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Addison Group is looking for an energetic and passionate Brand Strategist/Manager with an eye for detail, understanding of market trends, and creativity to support marketing leadership across all brands.
This person will report to the VP of Marketing & Communications as part of the shared resource team to develop strategies across staffing and consulting brands to enhance each of our brand’s visibility and market share. This role balances design, analytics, and strategic thinking. We are looking for individuals that have a creative eye but understand the importance of market research to understand consumer behavior journey for each brand/market/vertical, then use that information to develop marketing strategies that raise brand awareness and drive growth.

An excellent communicator with an eye for seeing what resonates with our customers and candidates. You are skilled in the following:
Strategic planning – you are an excellent strategic thinker, able to develop big-picture strategies and develop marketing and advertising plans that align with each brands unique goals and sales pipeline
Storytelling – You know that selling the story is key, crafting engaging campaigns highlighting the story and benefits of each brand
Written and verbal communication – Highly skilled in communication and able to work with both content writer and graphic designers internchangably to provide both sides support from compelling copy, detailed strategy on imagery, and aligning all to building effective campaigns
Forecasting – you follow and predict trends in order to develop strategies that succeed in a changing marketplace and anticipate shifting customer profiles, utilizing tools like SEMRush for content optimization and researching market trends
Core Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Website layout design & Module Creation (Wordpress):
Working with website dev team to create wire frame illustrator files, understanding best practices/web standards for responsive design
Overseeing all web projects – landing pages/campaigns, etc.
All JPG/PNG/SVG/Gifs Graphics
Video creation for website
Understanding of responsive design
Creation of all graphics post web layout production to be added directly into CMS Media file
Graphics/ Video Assets:
Management of All Raster & Vector files in SharePoint/Teams (design repository)
Understands best practices for when to use which digital mediums
Management of Video Production across all tools (Vimeo, Animoto, Premier)
Proficiency with common design and presentation software - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Power Point, Sketch, After Effects, Premier
Branding Guidelines (all brands):
Logos - Copyright/Proprietary Design Elements (falcons/icons/logos/trademarks)
Font files
Layout guidelines (print & web)
Letter Head/ Signature
Content:
Ability to produce print-ready and web-ready art/ content
Understanding of image compression
PPT Layouts (across all brands)
Collateral Layouts/Structure (across all brands)
Email:
Creating scalable Email Templates (Newsletter & Nurture Campaigns)
Building templates in HTML rather than multiple images – understanding design load times and usability across email platforms
Events:
Booth Design (all booths are done in vector file sizing with AI)
Print Collateral for Events
Custom swag design items
Video loops for booths, etc.
Creation Process & Project Timeline Management:
Building a repeatable process for our reoccurring projects from ideation through implementation/final product
Exceptional attention to detail
: This role is usually a final step, they need to be detailed, clear, and correct when providing final products for review across all departments & brands.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Mass Communications, Marketing or related field
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products – Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, Premier – a must
Tremendous attention to detail, superior organizational skills, experience with excel/budget tracking
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Works well among a team, thinks independently and takes initiative
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is highly organized

25% Thought Leadership Templates (case study, white papers, thought leadership/ blogs graphics, infographics, social videos (non-gated))
15% Organization on Teams files & Design Repository
15% Internal Support Projects (intranet, email/design, video production for internal purposes)
