SEC Gas/LNG Market Development Manager is a commercial, customer facing role in the development of a portfolio of material growth projects for Gas/LNG in downstream. Target sectors will include industrial applications, gas power generation, city gas and LNG for HD transport. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of the downstream business ideally in natural gas with strong analytical skills. The role also requires hands on, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.

What's the role?

As Market Development Manager, you will:


Develop and accelerate demand for Gas/LNG industrial, power and city gas customers in China market where have access to Shell supply, focus on South China esp. Guangdong/Guangxi province.
Develop, negotiate, deliver and close Sale/Supply/Service Contracts with Gas/LNG customers, working with SEC relevant deal teams.
Engagement with and support various Shell teams under SEA, SLMT, DLNG Global and local operation to deliver deals and transactions.
Build strong personal relationship with counterparties and external stakeholders in government, OEMs, technical bodies to allow win-win business opportunities to be developed


What we need from you

Proven track record of success in New Business Development, B2B Commercial Marketing, Sales, Operations environment or similar experience
Experience in interacting with and managing customers and other stakeholders
Ability to negotiate, progress and conclude contracts with external counterparties in China market.
Ability to organize and manage in a changing environment with a high degree of uncertainty; must be readily adaptable to changes
Courage and perseverance to drive change to instill acceptance and implement novel constructs
Self-motivation with a proactive approach to problem solving
Strong desire to develop career in a fast paced and evolving commercial environment
Strong commercial acumen
Shows initiative, capable of multitasking but knows what and when to prioritize
Eager to try out different approaches to be more efficient and effective
