THE ROLE:
SV Law has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our Guelph and Elora offices. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and working closely with the Chair of the Marketing Committee, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, contributing to our existing marketing programs, while leading the development of new strategic marketing initiatives and activities. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator stays informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, communication, branding, and advertising plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage SV Law’s social media presence by creating posts, ensuring events we attend and/or sponsor are posted and monitor comments and respond where appropriate
Maintain website as well as design enhancements and edits to create an exceptional user experience; while ensuring content is current and SEO optimized
Maintain Intranet by developing and presenting ideas for internal communication strategies, suggesting updates and design edits to the site and ensure content is current
Maintain blog page on the website by working closely with lawyers on content creation, and ensuring SEO optimization
Maintain firm branding with all material
Complete RFP’s
Present ideas to help promote the brand or campaign in new ways
Develop and maintain good relationships with relevant media contacts
Meet with PG leaders to develop marketing plans – to be updated each year
Keep promotional materials stocked and research products
Plan for attendance at various trade shows and recruiting events by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments as necessary
Develop and monitor the annual marketing budget for the Firm in consultation with the CAO and the Chair of the Marketing Committee
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or related college diploma with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in marketing, digital advertising, social media management, or a related field preferred
Skilled at working with social media (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/LinkedIn etc.)
SEO optimization experience
Content writing experience e.g. blog posts and web content
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work with deadlines.
Exceptional client service orientation with strong judgement and exceptional time management
Creative problem solving
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written skills
