Objective

The Market Analyst is responsible for playing a central role in the effort to ensure reliable, relevant market information is available to the sales and operations teams. This position works to ensure the data quality of the Global Activity Capture (GAC) database, including O&G concession maps, and economic data. The Market Analyst ensures the accuracy of rig/activity charts, through validation with GeoUnit S&C Managers. This person analyzes pricing trends, metrics, activity mix, and services sold (trends) across assigned regions and identifies anomalies at quarterly or monthly reviews.

Roles and Responsibilities


Consolidate and validate regional rig count and customer (rig) assignments, and monitor/identify rig movements.
Obtain market drivers information from available resources.
Obtain and maintain regional oil and gas policies library, including but not limited to, PSA agreement structures, Commitment clauses, royalty and windfall tax levy regulations etc.
Monitor and filter geopolitics and energy sector news including O&G related price indices.
Obtain and Validate (with GUs) competition intelligence.
Identify and highlight anomalies, trends and opportunities in the market.
Contribute to the country and theme-based analyses produced by the Commercial Center.
