SUMMARY:
The Senior Associate Brand Manager (SABM) of Innovation is a key contributor to the growth plans for the business teams, responsible for leading cross functional teams in planning, execution and analysis of various initiatives. The SABM role includes development of strategic business and innovation marketing plans to achieve corporate and brand volume, profit and share objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply curiosity & analysis to synthesize complex information into action including landscape assessment and deep dive into consumer, shopper, category, competition and channel dynamics and shifts
Distill insights to develop winning consumer concepts, drives successful business models, and delivers best in class commercialization
Participate in development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives in support of the brand team
Lead the development and execution of product and packaging innovation plans including concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, business proposal and approval, project execution, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies in business and brand plans
Proactively work with Sales Strategy and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against JBP objectives
Manage volume forecast for innovation initiatives, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy
Lead all facets of P&L development including identification of size of opportunity/pricing, cost of goods optimization, and manufacturing efficiencies to drive profitable financial projections.
REQUIREMENTS:
An MBA or equivalent education/experience is required
A minimum 3 years of relevant marketing experience required; innovation/product commercialization experience is preferred
Demonstrated strong analytical strategic thinking skills are required; strong communication and presentation skills are required; strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams; proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required
Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI is preferred
6-10 trips per year
This position will be based in the Chicago Corporate Office
