Job Description:
Position Purpose
We are accelerating the energy transition by growing an Integrated Power business. Focusing on the Commercial, Light industry, Technology and Cities sectors, we are helping our customers decarbonize and meet their net-zero emissions targets.
Working in partnerships and coalitions with multiple stakeholders we are developing low-carbon energy offerings for the ecosystems our customers operate in through more renewable power, more marketing, and more innovation – from hydrogen to biofuels to nature-based solutions and renewable energy as a service.
The Digital Marketing Product Owner will be responsible for building and maintaining the MarTech stack as well as deliver ABM (Account-Based Marketing) campaigns across the customer journey required to grow the Shell Energy brand in the USA to be the leading global provider of energy. The role must work collaboratively across all sales and marketing channel managers in the B2B business (Direct, Indirect and Emerging Market channels) to deliver the objectives.
This role will help identify the business capabilities required for sales and marketing to achieve growth targets through the right selection of technology, people and process across all channels.
Accountabilities:
Lead strategy and prioritization of the MarTech stack roadmap including identification of business capabilities required for sales and marketing to achieve growth targets for both business and residential segments
Serve as Product Owner gathering business requirements across all impacted sales channels working closely with Sector Marketing Managers, looking for efficiencies and scale
Collaborate and work with Digital Product Team to implement, run & maintain MarTech stack priorities on roadmap including but not limited to: ABM (Account-Based Marketing), CX (Customer Experience), Customer Data Platform, Customer Portal(s), Lead Scoring/Sales Enablement, Virtual Events Platform, and Shell app integration
Focal Point for all internal B2B sales channels to manage day-to-day relationships working closely with Sector Marketing Managers in Renewables & Energy Solutions Americas Marketing team to understand business requirements and digital deliverables for each sales team
Approx. 30% of time allocated to support Community Partnerships (i.e. Houston Dynamo & Dash Football Club) in development of a digital activation plan and calendar across all digital channels (i.e. LI, FB, IG and website)
Develop an ABM (Account Based Marketing) campaign framework and support Sector Marketing Managers in the execution of these Demand Gen campaigns to achieve lead generation targets, optimizing for efficiencies and scale
Define feature roadmap and optimizations across platforms to enhance both internal employee experience and external customer experience as business evolves and requirements change
Own and apply digital marketing standards across owned and paid channels
Develop Measurement Framework to demonstrate business value and return on investment across all platforms and campaigns executed
Champion customer centricity, identifying key/emerging trends through external learnings and competitor assessments, to help inform digital strategy and pilot opportunities
Promote and reinforce a digital mindset in the organization
This individual will report to the Digital Marketing Team Lead in the Americas. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong customer mindset, digital expertise, sales / marketing background, commercial and strategic exposure, financial acumen and ability to articulate/message complex themes into digestible/meaningful narratives.
Please Note: This role needs to work effectively in a hybrid work environment balancing time remote versus time in an office with key stakeholders.
Requirements
What we need from you
You must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Minimum 10 years’ experience of combined B2B/B2C Marketing (emphasis on marketing specifically digital marketing roles, and/or marketing experience in the Power business)
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, MIS or other relevant field of study required
The selected candidate will display a strong curiosity for developments in the external world (i.e.energy transition, technology innovations and digital, competitive landscape and will show an ability to translate insights into strategic action)
Prior MarTech experience preferred with emphasis on CRM, Marketing Automation Platform, and/or ABM platform.
Assignment length is 4 years
Occasional travel will be required in this role <25% of the time.
