Role Summary:
The Brand Advocate plays a critical role in the Enterprise by putting a Vendor lens on data that they provide as an input to the SKU and product asset creation/management. They collaboratively drive the associated content strategy, guidelines and best practices while applying their working knowledge and ability to identify applicable trends. This role requires continual learning and fine-tuning to stay ahead of shifts in the industry. The Brand Advocate is responsible for analyzing the Brand/category performance and for identifying opportunities for improvement. They will partner with the Vendor and internal partners to drive a best-in-class customer experience and increase Best Buy’s Net Promoter Score, revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Product Submission
Responsible for accurate and timely entry of/updates to Vendor supplied product data and assets via applicable systems
Delivers engaging differentiated Brand content on behalf of assigned Vendor that meets Best Buy’s style guide standards
Provides critical on-site support and expertise for product launch activities on behalf of the Vendor
Previews and provides Vendor approval for product content and corresponding digital experiences (ie. PDPs and Fact Tags)
Maintains data standards and executes all work in accordance with defined SLAs
Offers industry expertise in product data and digital experiences for applicable Brand/Category
2. Ongoing Category Support
Manages and submits timely updates to product attributes, asset management, and digital experiences, on behalf of the Vendor, throughout the product lifecycle
Identifies and initiates request for change/addition to attributes, attribute values or categories and completes or works with the appropriate teams to request all system or attribute changes
Coordinates optimization to site content strategy and updates on behalf of the Vendor. I.E. product landing pages, product detail pages, brand pages, river pages, etc
Regularly executes internal and external competitive analysis to proactively enhance the customer experience at Best Buy
3. Business Strategy and Acumen
Responsible for keeping the Brand and Category on the cutting edge with industry trends and best practices
Accountable for understanding and implementing the Enterprise digital strategy to support strategic growth
Track, analyze and provide regular reports to analyze content performance, insights and arrive at recommendations to enhance the customer experience to improve conversion and grow incremental revenue
Measured against data quality, quantity, and speed to market among other KPIs
Develop holistic knowledge and expertise of systems and tools to create efficiencies to deliver an optimal customer experience
4. Communication and Collaboration
Collaborates with various cross-functional business partners and Vendor teams to manage the product data, assets, and customer experience for optimal performance
Cultivate and maintain strong Vendor and cross-functional partner relationships as the primary point of contact for issues pertaining to product presentation and category specific brand performance
Responsible for escalating any issues or non-compliance through the appropriate channels
Maximize performance through the facilitation of effective partnerships and collaboration among peers and cross-functional teams
Project Involvement/Participant/SME
Minimum Requirements:
2 years of experience in e-commerce, retail, merchandising, demand planning
2 years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tell a story and make a recommendation
2 years of experience working cross-functionally
2 years of advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
Experience utilizing data management systems
