Aon Is Looking for an Insurance Pursuit Manager As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Risk Solutions – Pursuit and Creative Team.  As a Pursuit Manager, you will write, revise, proofread, and transmit proposals in response to RFPs and presentations specific to client situations. The opportunities will focus on our risk and construction services line of business. The Pursuit Manager will lead, plan, develop, produce, and deliver proposals and presentations as required by client solicitations (request for proposals). He/she will provide hands-on management of the entire full-cycle project development processes, including but not limited to: leading kick off meetings, writing customized content, monitoring timelines, editing documents, working on presentation deliverables, and ensuring compliance with the Aon brand. The Pursuit Manager will work with colleagues within Aon Risk Solutions, as well as product and industry practice sales teams, subject matter experts and designers, to ensure that proposals and presentations reflect the best technical, management, and support offerings that Aon can make in response to RFPs. The project manager is expected to assist in achieving national goals for new business and client retention via execution of the core responsibilities of the position, which focus on responding to offensive (new business) and defensive (retention / jeopardy) requests for proposal (RFPs) and presentations Job Responsibilities: Responsible for managing and providing strategic direction on the firm's largest and most complex proposals and presentations, often partnering with senior and executive leaders.Provide strategic direction for the preparation of proposals and presentations to achieve a response that is in line with the defined approachPartner with the lead designer to ensure proposals and presentations are visually impactful; assist teams with custom graphic creationProfessionally handle challenging situations (including when leadership is involved) without harming relationshipsWork with consultants and subject matter experts to craft customized contentMentor junior team membersDisplay a high level working knowledge of Aon’s risk services (this includes, but is not limited to property, casualty, management liability, marine, and aviation brokerage and consulting)Lead presentation brainstorming and development sessions, serving as the presentation expert on the firm's largest opportunitiesPrimarily works independently to determine methods and procedures of projects.Identify trends and engage in process improvement efforts centrally and nationally where necessaryYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience: 8 years professional work experience in bid management required; insurance and brokerage industry experience requiredSignificant background in the development of custom strategic content (leveraging strategic messaging/value propositions) and strong editing skills requiredAbility to manage multiple complex bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meeting all deadlinesExperience providing strategic direction to account teams for client presentations, including in person rehearsals and deliverables, in partnership with a designerAbility to learn quickly and show flexibility to adapt in a growing group, working both independently and with a team mentality (required)Ability to act independently, with minimal / occasional directionUse professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.Advanced knowledge of Proposal Management Software (SharePoint, Loopio, Monday.com) strongly preferredAdvanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel knowledge requiredEducation:Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields in communication required We offer youA competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
