Responsibilities
In this field role, through partnering closely with long term care facilities and their staff, you will lead the development of sales opportunities and build relationships with prospective and current members, families and partnering with long-term care communities. Cultivate market collaboration with providers and potential members by meeting member enrollment and retention goals for the plan. Building rapport with leadership and staff through daily regular on-site interactions, promotion, and education to support individual and team enrollment goals.
This role is responsible for executing a successful sales and engagement plan that includes the following key aspects:
Promote and educate prospective members and their representatives, both in group and individual settings
Engage in member retention by inquiring and proactively communicating with teammates and partnering facilities
Deliver on production goals and performance standards
Meet with prospective enrollees and their families in their long-term care facility to facilitate sales presentations and enrollments
Comply with all state and federal regulatory guidelines by adhering to sales and marketing requirements.
Collaborate with Humana Provider Engagement Executive(s) to effectively engage and promote Humana's ISNP products
Conduct facility visits and personalized appointments as needed to complete the enrollment process
Assist members in accessing health care by facilitating the resolution of member issues as they occur
Manage metrics/performance reporting
Comply with CMS marketing and sales guidelines and regulations and with Humana standards
Conduct group and/or individual sales presentations and enroll eligible prospects and their representatives in long-term care facilities
Responsible for following up on leads, identifying and attending community outreach events for Medicare eligible participants, establishing relationships and present opportunities with post-acute provider groups, hospitals, and clinics, and for self-generating leads
Comply with policies and procedures pertaining to disclosures and provisions of Medicare SNP programs and enrollment and disenrollment processes
Requirements
Active Health Insurance License in the required state or ability to obtain prior to start date
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent work experience, specifically business to business settings, conducting consumer prospecting and enrollment functions.
Prior experience educating and supporting prospective and current member's pre-enrollment and post-enrollment through both written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with technology to include Microsoft Office Suite products with a high-level use of laptops and mobile phone applications with an understanding of CRM tools or other sales/marketing resources
Experience working with covered benefits, non-covered benefits, exclusions and exemptions of Medicare products and programs includes providing enrollees with all corresponding materials.
This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Preferred
Experience with Medicare and Medicare Advantage, specifically Institutional Special Needs Plans (ISNP) Prospective Membership Population and long-term care industry standards and guidelines strongly preferred.
Experience in ISNP Account Management and Sales Production.
Experience supporting new long-term care facilities with training, customer service support, or onboarding activities.
Knowledge of Medicaid programs in territory, including Institutional Medicaid qualifications and process.
Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish or additional languages without limitations or assistance
Additional Information
Upon offer acceptance, candidates must be able to complete and pass the AHIP certification (paid for by Humana)
Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency, and will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Schedule
Travel within the assigned territory at least 50% of the time and ability to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays, when necessary to meet long-term care facility and prospective member and representative's schedules. Occasional overnight stays will be required at times with field-based assignments. Flexibility is essential to your success.
