Description
This role supports Humana's growing Medicaid line of business. Medicaid provides insurance and care options predominately for low-income individuals and families and those who have disabilities. Medicaid marketing is regulated state by state, and this role requires understanding of applicable Medicaid regulations that govern marketing efforts in which each state Humana is contracted.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Medicaid Marketing creates the Medicaid marketing strategy for specified state contracts by identifying and leveraging deep consumer insights and is responsible for execution, and supervises a small team of senior professionals responsible for Medicare acquisition and member marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead marketing and communication strategy in coordination with the Medicaid line of business
Deliver strategies and recommend plans that connect corporate growth and business objectives with marketing initiatives and programs
Works with Medicaid Business Development (BD) to respond to RFPs
Responsible for the Medicaid prospective consumer journey
Develops open enrollment marketing strategy in coordination with markets and brand team
Leads digital strategy for prospects
Leads development and planning of Duals transition campaigns
Drives market research projects
Develops advanced Medicaid marketing measurement strategies
Leads standing marketing planning status calls and state Medicaid calls as needed
Lead the continued evolution of the operational model through deep understanding of the Medicaid marketing value proposition and strategic priorities
Manage a small team of marketing professionals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing , Business, Finance, Healthcare Management or a related field is required
At least ten years of prior demonstrated marketing experience
Prior experience with Medicaid is a must
Excellent strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to think big and bridge the strategic vision with the tactical delivery and drive consensus accordingly
Data-driven mindset; Quickly assimilates new information and grasps new concepts; strong financial acumen and ability to synthesize and communicate insights and business performance
Strong familiarity with modern marketing and organizational practices (e.g., omni-channel experiences, consumer-driven journey design, personalization, agile working methods,)
Cultivates and maintains a broad network of collaborative relationships across an enterprise, allowing quick navigation to get information, guidance, or to clear the path for new initiatives in a large organization
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Significant experience developing executive level presentations and building compelling stories to influence change
Outstanding project management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced degree
Consulting background a plus, but not required
Agile working model experience
