At Pure Storage, we are in search of an experienced Technical Product Marketer to help drive and nurture key aspects of our Evergreen Portfolio and Pure1 software. Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for owning the overall technical marketing aspects for the Evergreen portfolio. This includes creating technical presentations, white papers, videos, demos and working closely with Product Management in support of a holistic marketing effort across business and technical audiences.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Technical Marketing responsibilities include working alongside corporate marketing and product management to market to the technical user personas; driving content, webinars, blogs and related technical product materials.

Confidence working within the product and being a Technical content machine

Work with Competitive Marketing to effectively market our products and competitive differentiations

Ability to clearly communicate and influence the technical community

Support product/feature launch efforts with applicable content

Deliver technical enablement/training for Sales Engineers and Architects, as well as provide assets for closing deals

Perform as a subject matter expert on technical details of Evergreen portfolio and architecture

Be savvy and effective in simplifying technical content into easy to understand benefits for our end users and ecosystem partners

Be comfortable engaging upstream with Product Management and effective in managing up the management hierarchy to achieve business goals

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

6 years technical experience in technical marketing, product management, Sales Engineer or relevant technical role in B2B software.

Relevant knowledge of datacenter and cloud infrastructure, including public cloud, virtualization and software products is preferred

Eager storyteller who can articulate, both verbally and in writing, a compelling vision

Strong technical acumen with ability to quickly synthesize technical content into ‘positioning’ for technical audiences and craft a story that connects with customers and partners

Self-Starter mentality: Find gaps. Solve them. Manage multiple initiatives with autonomous leadership

Team player: work across an organization to build a plan, get alignment and execute

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT highly desired

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20%
