Who?
Twilio is looking for a technical product marketer with a passion for managing programs and taking products to market. In this role, you will be knowledgeable in the global telecom landscape and identify new market opportunities, as well as cover the competitive landscape. You will act as content provider to support product launches including launch materials, customer presentations and sales training materials, and also act as a subject matter expert on new solutions. While this role is technical, we know everyone is different and we don’t have hard and fast requirements. We are looking for you to demonstrate whether you have the core attributes of a great product marketer.
You are a strategic thinker--you like to build a deep product knowledge and conduct market, competitor, and customer research to capture insights and assess market opportunities.
You know how to turn numbers into a story. You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable leading market segmentation and sizing.
You know how to turn a story into a presentation. You are able to clearly articulate complex concepts to leave a lasting impression.
You are always thinking of new and creative ways to drive greater impact through written and visual content.
You know how to enable and educate internal audiences to drive meaningful engagements.
You can get things done. We want to talk about how you manage projects and influence others.
You are technical--you like learning how to build things and figuring out how best to demonstrate the benefits of the product.
Bonus points:
You've worked with technology products that have targeted developers with cloud-based services, especially as horizontal platforms.
You have a good understanding of Twilio's value prop and the apps that have already been built. You can build a Twilio app yourself.
You understand the global telecommunications ecosystem as well as technical opportunities and limitations.
What?
Own competitive analysis, working with other marketing teams to create competitive assets.
Have the technical skills and marketing sense to craft sales demo flows and scripts.
Support cross-functional product packaging and pricing initiatives.
Own external facing product roadmap updates, in tight relationship with the product team.
Have top-notch presentation skills so you can stand in front of any customer or executive and make the case for your product.
