Hudson Cook, LLP is seeking a dynamic Marketing Communications Manager for a position in our Hanover, Maryland office. A hybrid remote schedule is available after an initial integration period.
The Marketing Communications Manager will report to the Firm Administrator and Managing Partner and will be responsible for managing and implementing the Firm’s integrated marketing and communications initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Firm’s attorneys on business development to effectively promote the Firm’s capabilities and brand, focusing on consistent style and form in all communications while ensuring compliance with the firm’s marketing policies and the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Essential Duties
Media Communications – Help build on marketing initiatives to enhance the firm’s marketing and client communications. Draft press releases and announcements to highlight attorney speaking opportunities and accomplishments. Enhance business development initiatives and the promotion of attorneys through speaking engagements, webinars and events.
Web Content – Manage the development and maintenance of website content and the digital presence of the Firm. Coordinate consistent messaging and branding across the Firm’s digital platforms.
Social Media – Develop and maintain content strategy and manage the Firm’s social media platforms to showcase accomplishments and relevant news topics. Analyze trends and learn about the firm’s followers to drive content creation and optimal engagement.
Collateral Materials – Develop content for practice-specific and firm-based service offerings, to include brochures, speaking engagement promotions and e-newsletters. Create marketing presentations and collateral for attorneys as required.
Metrics and Reporting – Analyze marketing activities, report on metrics, and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of communications and digital media campaigns.
Conferences and Sponsorships – Coordinate the firm’s outreach in the form of conference participation and strategic sponsorships.
Perform additional duties, including event and conference support, and review and editing of content, promotional materials and presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field.
5 years’ communications or marketing experience in a financial or professional services organization. Law firm experience a significant plus.
Multi-channel marketing and content management.
Knowledge of performance metrics and analytics.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to and articulate ideas.
Detail focused.
Solid writing and editing skills essential.
Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
