Job Summary

The Manager, Direct Mail role will be responsible for driving strategy and execution of our Direct Mail sales channel, managing day-to-day relationships (internal and external) as well as unified work across all of Consumer Marketing. This individual will helpshapeprogramstrategy to deliver maximum sales potential, in addition to leading new program initiatives. Theywill be expected to strengthen existing relationships, ensure operational efficiencies, and maintain a strong handle on reporting/analytics to identify areas of opportunity. The role will present exciting opportunities to inform key strategy and meaningful business decisions for a significant RGU-generating channel. Our ideal candidate is a driven performer with experience in developing high impact direct mail communications programs and initiatives. The candidate should also have significant experience managing and executing campaigns, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and providing critical thinking to optimize results. The individual needs to have a strong background driving ROI, with both a creative eye and deep executional experience. Experience in advertising and managing variable data printing campaigns a plus. Candidate must possess the ability to lead and motivate agencies, and influence internal stakeholders.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the development of creative assets for the Comcast's West Division's residential direct mail, shared mail, catalogs, inserts, and other direct marketing programs while ensuring strategic objectives are met

Manage all aspects of the development of creative assets for the Comcast's Multicultural residential direct mail, shared mail, catalogs, inserts, and other direct marketing programs while ensuring strategic objectives are met

Manage the creative process and execution for the Comcast's specialized Movers' direct mail projects

Direct multiple advertising agencies to ensure delivery of objectives and excellent execution

Secure all stakeholder approval (including legal) on all messaging and assets

Serve as liaison across Strategic Marketing, Customer Marketing, Prospect Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, Marketing Automation, Direct Marketing, Division Marketing, Region Marketing and others on assigned projects

Serve as a direct marketing subject matter expert for MarCom, advising on direct marketing campaign best practices

Partner with MarCom Direction, Division, and Consumer Marketing to to challenge champion campaigns and elevate performance through the Test & Learn environment

Partner with Senior Manager to build, maintain, and optimize creative process platforms

Ensure that deadlines are met and deliverables meet specifications

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Education and Experience

Education Level - Bachelor's Degree or higher

Field of Study - Marketing, communication, advertising, statistics, mathematics, business, or related field

Experience - Generally requires 5 years of related experience

Other Specific Skills

Experience in direct marketing advertising agency or client-side leading direct mail programs with thorough knowledge of direct mail production including variable data printing

Results-oriented, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and embraces innovation

Shows sound judgement with regards to strategy and creative, insights & data

Understands a sales-driven culture and is hyper focused on acquiring new customers while maintaining brand health

Fundamental understanding of direct marketing, direct mail and marketing best practices

Proven track record of executional excellence working with agencies and internal counter-parts

Multicultural Marketing experience

Easily adapts to change

Strong writing skills, especially for creative briefs & results reporting summaries

Excellent communication skills -- for presenting, providing creative feedback, driving result summaries

Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Eye for detail and the ability to ensure projects of any scale are delivered on time including initiatives involving multiple stakeholders

Consensus building skills to align various stakeholders (Marcom, Marketing, Product, Divisions, Agencies)

Experience working in a decentralized organization is strongly preferred

Expertise in working in the Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, Sharepoint, etc.) as well as Adobe Acrobat
