The automotive maintenance aftermarket is entering a period of transformation as a result of rapid changes in vehicle design, technology advances, government regulations and an evolving consumer base. These forces of change will necessarily evolve the automotive maintenance aftermarket. Jiffy Lube is currently the industry leader in the installed lubricants segment and it is our objective to grow this leadership position within the installed lubricants segment and into the broader automotive maintenance aftermarket and we are looking for a Director of Marketing to come onboard as a key JLI leadership team member in this exciting growth journey and lead innovation within the industry.
The Jiffy Lubes (JLI) Director of Marketing is responsible for growing volume, revenue and market by leading the strategy development, business model evolution and brand management of Jiffy Lubes together with tactical marketing execution. The Director of Marketing will also be a leader of community to inspire, lead and develop the JLI marketing professionals.
Position Accountabilities
Develop, manage, and deliver breakthrough marketing strategies that grow system-wide traffic, retention and revenue for Jiffy Lube.
Manage improvement of all key brand health metrics including but not limited to market share, brand awareness, consideration, fit, purchase intent, and brand preference.
Continue to build the brand through effective Customer Value Proposition (CVP) development and implementation.
Successfully deliver media plans via the National Advertising Board of franchisees (NAB). Ensure local tactics align with NAB strategy.
Leverage consumer data analysis and scorecards to help drive more strategic marketing recommendations.
Develop and deliver full media strategies for national and local implementation that delivers growth to the franchisees in an evolving media environment. This includes broadcast video, radio, CRM and print along with the following evolving digital marketing strategies; Digital video, streaming video, programmatic video, display ads, paid search and retargeting, web tools including SEO and Social media tactics.
Find ways to improve the customer experience including awareness, engagement, loyalty, service center employee interaction and CVP development that generate industry leading customer experience metrics.
Develop joint marketing efforts for Pennzoil and Jiffy Lube that deliver growth for both brands.
Work with individual franchise entities to help all franchisees develop marketing plans and strategies at a local level. Work closely with coops to develop plans that support larger markets that contain multiple franchisee entities.
Manage 4 franchisee committees (Customer Experience and Innovations, Marketing, Products and Services and National Advertising Board) as well as participate on the Top-to-Top meetings with the Jiffy Lube Association of Franchisees (JLAF) Executive Board requiring significant stakeholder management and effectively engage, steer and influence a large number of diverse stakeholders with diverse agendas
Lead a team of 20 establishing relevant and aligned targets and KPIs to deliver the overall goals of the JLI Marketing Organization
Lead the management of aligning stakeholders internal and external on brand direction
Lead as the visible ambassador to the public relations, trade publications and franchisee network

Requirements:
Four-year college degree required, MBA Preferred
15 years marketing and/or relevant experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders
Demonstrated capability to deal effectively with broad challenges and deliver significant results in both core marketing deliverables and overall business objectives
Must be able to evaluate situations and make decisions amid ambiguity
