Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy multi-channel marketing and communication strategies targeting current members to drive plan understanding, member engagement, and loyalty / renewal.
Partner with business to understand and influence annual goals and priorities.
Deeply understand and become an expert on Group Medicare member needs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Work closely with Group Medicare sales marketing team members to ensure a cohesive member experience from point-of-sale through retention.
Assess and recommend the appropriate resources needed to support a fully activated member marketing team.
The main focus of this role is to partner closely with Group Medicare business leaders to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies targeting current members to drive plan understanding, member engagement, and loyalty / renewal.
This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion, drive strategy and execution across multiple audiences, and collaborate with leaders across Humana's corporate marketing and Group Medicare leadership. Projects may include developing customized onboarding and renewal materials, new and tenured member engagement journeys across the member lifecycle and targeted cross-sell strategies to convert terming Group Medicare members to individual Medicare Advantage (MA) members. Multi-channel strategies - online and offline - will be deployed in service of marketing objectives. Key internal clients include a breadth of partners that touch all key pillars of Humana's Group Medicare segment - sales, strategy, digital, product, clinical, innovation, specialty, thought leadership and others. This incumbent will work very closely with Group Medicare sales marketing team members to ensure a whole member experience from point of sale through member retention. Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities to leverage Humana Assets (e.g., Humana's Bold Goal).
The individual in this role will be a thought leader, advising executives on matters of significance to drive demonstrable member benefits engagement, cross-sell opportunities and ongoing loyalty. He/she will be comfortable working autonomously, exercising independent judgement and bringing partners along throughout strategy development and execution. Importantly, this incumbent will demonstrate a deep understanding of Group Medicare member needs which will be translated into winning marketing strategies.
Developing and executing a member engagement strategy will be an absolutely critical part of this position's responsibility. Examples of key needs include quickly understanding and prioritizing current communications, identifying and closing gaps in the member experience and working with our data partners to measure results and pivot accordingly.
Role Essentials
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience creating and activating member / customer marketing strategies and campaigns based on member characteristics, analytics and research.
Ability to develop insights, implications, and actions from research and campaign results.
Demonstrated strategic and consulting skills.
Experience leveraging marketing automation capabilities to deliver member journeys.
Successful track record developing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve business results in a rapidly growing, highly entrepreneurial environment.
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with business stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple diverse projects.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; able to communicate at all levels of an organization, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences.
Role Desirables
MBA or Masters in Marketing
Understanding of Medicare products or similar complex, regulated products.
Proven track record in team development and preparing direct reports for upward mobility.
Experience managing agency relationships.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Health insurance experience is preferred, but not required.
Additional Info
The Lead, Group Medicare Marketing may manage associates and will report directly to the Director of Retail Member Marketing. This role can be based in Louisville, Chicago, or Washington, DC. If not in Louisville, must be willing to travel 20-25%.
