As the Senior Product Manager - Marketing Channel Management you will collaborate across Marketing and enterprise partners on improving the reach and effectiveness of communications channels. This will be accomplished through the definition of standards and best practices, monitoring KPIs to identify improvements, serving as an expert in policies and regulations, and implementing proven tactics through cross-functional collaboration. Successful candidates must be outcome oriented with proven experience in communications channel delivery, research and analysis.
Responsibilities
This role will focus on the reach and effectiveness of the email channel with additional channels to be prioritized in the future. There are three key opportunities to enable significant value through the email channel. First, this role will support digital transformation and expansion of email delivery over print communications. Second, as new marketing technologies are introduced, collaboration and ownership of key activities (ex. whitelisting, unsubscribe experience, etc.) will be necessary to ensure effectiveness. Third, this role will partner with multiple marketing and communications teams to define and adopt standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Publish standards and best practices for email deliverability and effectiveness (ex: email reply process, frequency controls)
Provide support for digital transformation initiative and ongoing monitoring
Establish reports and benchmarks to monitor channel reach and effectiveness - lead or initiate improvements
Serve as an expert on policies and regulations - establish procedures that effectively manage risks versus value
Consult with data team(s) on channel and contact data hygiene
Monitor and advise on how to reduce unsubscribes/opt-outs and being blacklisted
Monitor preference adoption and effectiveness for email channel
Monitor and advise on relevant industry changes
Consult on experience design related to channel effectiveness and compliance (ex. email unsubscribe)
Support email channel capability effectiveness, such as such IP warming, email whitelist certification, use of templates, etc.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
5 years of experience in marketing, marketing technology, and/or communications
Deep understanding of email distribution and related tactics, regulations and best practices
Proficient at research and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in related field
Health insurance experience
