The Director of Collegiate Partnerships is an important member of the Americas Sports Marketing Leadership team, overseeing a robust portfolio of Sports Marketing collegiate assets, a team of UA Marketers, and act as the main Leadership UA contact and liaison between the University staff, Coaches, Administration, related partners and Under Armour in all capacities. This role will manage day to day departmental budgets and execute Collegiate and Student Athlete marketing strategies & initiatives in conjunction with the Athlete Marketing team.
The Director of Collegiate Partnerships will make a huge impact on how Under Armour shows up to athletes and fans and will leverage consumer and cultural insights to activate authentically. This role will be responsible for assisting in executing collegiate Purpose, Product & Brandstories, and work both cross functionally and externally to get work done. This role will facilitate and manage internal and external communication, building authentic relationships, keeping activation at the forefront of planning and have an intimate understanding of the collegiate landscape.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Consults with strategic partners on the identification process, recruitment and negotiation of all collegiate opportunities (both University and Student Athlete). These recommendations will be supported by quantitative and qualitative information.
Partners up, down, and across the organization to create best in class collegiate activations focused on building brand love and purchase intent
Manages the on boarding and servicing of Student Athlete, College and University partners.
Activates collegiate assets incorporating all categories (basketball, football and Olympic sports) by working cross functionally with UA business partners.
Regularly attends collegiate and industry events
Accountable to the building, developing and coaching of the Collegiate teammates
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Superior and proven negotiation skills
Understanding and knowledge of collegiate and professional sports landscape

Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships including agency partners, internal clients, editors, influencers
Deep understanding of short and long-term marketing strategy
Budgeting experience
Internal client partnership-building with product teams
Intellectual Curiosity and ability to learn quickly
Passion to win
Education And / Or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, General Management or equivalent; MBA a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, consumer-driven company.
History and proven track record in the sports industry, experience within licensing preferred.
Established relationships at all levels, inclusive of the executive level, in the sports marketing industry, including with NCAA athletes, coaches, or university athletic administrators.
Proven leadership skills in managing a large team.
Experience managing budgets.
Experience conducting business and partnering with executives and staff in multiple regions globally, a plus but not mandatory.
Agency experience is a plus.
Other Requirements
Travel : 30- 40 % of the year (varies by season)
Work Life Designation : This is a hybrid role based in our Baltimore HQ 2 days per week
