Apple Inc. has acknowledged serious issues associated with faulty visuals and vague document handling in the early MacBook and MacBook laptop releases of 2008. Early purchasers of the latest MacBook have reported distortions in videos played with Apple's QuickTime player. There were also reported instances of graphic corruption while users were scrolling through webpages or emails. Ultimately, the whole issue appears to be software-related as the glitches become noticeable mostly after installing a Leopard Graphics update that was released with the Mac OS X 10.5.2 update. Apple has posted an acknowledgement of the problems in its online forum but has made no further comments. Apple has updated its latest MacBook laptops with Intel Penryn processors, which are supposed to be faster than previous generation chips. The updated MacBook and MacBook Pro cost around $1,099 and $2,499, respectively.
