Innovation Interactive Unit 360i, a digital ad agency, has purchased i33 Communications, a web design shop, in order to evolve from its search marketing roots and branch out organically into social media and behavior marketing. 360i’s clients include NBC, Bravo, and H&R Block, whereas i33’s clients include Adidas, PBS, and Marvel Entertainment. 360i, which now has over 200 employees, has been in the process of deploying its two-year-old strategy to provide a full suite of digital capabilities. Hence the purchase of the 40-employees strong i33, which specializes in programming online games, widgets, and apps. “360i and i33 have worked together on prior projects, which made them comfortable with the fit” said Bryan Wiener, CEO of 360i.
