Launi Skinner, Starbucks' president of U.S. operations, has resigned and will be replaced by Cliff Burrows, president for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, company sources said. Skinner is reportedly leaving the company to spend more time with her family. Meanwhile, Burrows' current business area will be handled by Jim Alling, president of Starbucks Coffee International, until a new president is named. Burrows will have to relocate from London to Seattle to take on his new duties. Skinner joined Starbucks in 1993 and had been with the company ever since, while Burrows has been with the company since 2001.
