Sprint Nextel Corp. has yet to counter its archrivals Verizon and AT&T with its own flat-rate unlimited calling plan, but sources speculate that the company could offer a plan for as much as 40% less than its rivals in order to prevent customer defections. Unlimited calling plans for $99.99 per month were recently unveiled by Verizon and AT&T, and T-Mobile even included text-messaging within that price. A price war is looming, according to Wall Street, as a price cut from Sprint may force the other carriers to slash their prices too or lose customers. Meanwhile, Sprint and Samsung launched two new mobiles as its latest offerings: the Samsung Ace, a global smartphone with quad-band capabilities, and the Samsung M250, the first Power Vision multimedia phone with a slide-out keypad.
