Contractor Jonathan Cobbs has filed a $25-million lawsuit against Google accusing the Internet giant of intellectual property theft over Google Sky. Cobbs claims that he revealed the idea for Google Sky, a virtual planetarium added to Google Earth last August, in an internal email discussion group when he worked for the company in early 2006. He was hired through WorkforceLogic USA. Neither Google nor WorkforceLogic USA have commented on the lawsuit thus far. Google has been sued in many patent-infringement type cases before, but this intellectual property theft case might be a different story altogether.
