Pizza Hut has introduced a mobile ordering service that allows people to place their orders through cell phones. The pizza chain’s Total Mobile Access system will allow customers to order from any of its 6,200 outlets in the U.S. via text message or the mobile website on web-enabled phones. Consumers can sign up on PizzaHut.com and add their mobile phone number to the account to place their orders. Alternatively, they can visit Pizza Hut’s website on their cell phone’s browser. The food chain aims to earn 50% of its income through mobile ordering within 5 years. The other top U.S. pizza delivery chains — Domino's Pizza Inc. and Papa John's International Inc. — already offer mobile ordering services.
