California-based creative agency CMP Entertainment Group has taken over Web and print design agency Deadline Advertising, reports hollywoodreporter.com. The combined entity will focus on the digital direction of film and entertainment marketing. Deadline co-founders Amir Parstabar and Jay Tehrani will now serve as co-presidents. Both CMP as well as Deadline have made significant contributions to the movie marketing campaigns. Deadline has contributed to the creation of the new Disney.com and Disneybooks.com websites. It has helped in creating online and/or DVD campaigns for Spider-Man 3 and The Da Vinci Code, among others. In its 19-year-old history, CMP (previously Craig Murray Prods) has contributed to the creation of 450+ motion picture trailers and television campaigns, including Toy Story, The Mummy Returns, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Transformers, and many more.
