Wendy's CMO Resigns
Date: 12-14-2007
Ian Rowden, chief marketing officer at Wendy's International, Inc., has resigned due to personal reasons and will return to Australia. Wendy's is now conducting a national search for a new CMO, and Rowden has agreed to assist in this transition. Rowden joined Wendy's in 2004, going on to build Wendy's brand image and appeal to younger consumers. Paul Kershisnik, senior vice president of marketing strategy and innovation, and Bob Holtcamp, vice president of brand management, will take over Rowden's role temporarily. Despite the turmoil, Wendy's aims to continually improve its brand recognition with its "That's Right" campaign. "We will evolve our marketing efforts to drive sales and resonate more powerfully with our customers, franchisees, and employees," said Kerrii Anderson, Wendy's chief executive officer and president.
