eBay Inc. has appointed Michael A. Linton as its new chief marketing officer for North America. He will replace Gary Briggs, who is leaving eBay after working for six years. Linton, who has been with eBay for one year, previously served as senior VP of marketplace adjacencies, including eBay Motors, Half.com, eBay Canada, eBay Stores, and ProStores. Prior to that he served as chief marketing officer at Best Buy, a specialty retailer of consumer electronics and related products and services.
