Dow Jones CMO Resigns

Ann Marks, chief corporate marketing officer and senior vice president of the consumer media group at Dow Jones & Co., has resigned. Her resignation was effective immediately and no replacement has been announced, reports AdAge. Marks was responsible for brand marketing, circulation marketing, single copy sales, research, and publicity for Dow Jones' consumer franchises, including The Wall Street Journal and Barron's. Previous to her resignation were CEO Richard Zannino, WSJ publisher Gordon Crovitz, Corporate-Communications Chief Linda Dunbar, and General Counsel Joseph Stern in response to the News Corporation's completing its $5.6 billion acquisition of Dow Jones last week.
