Microsoft Corp. has launched mobile display advertising in the U.S. on its MSN Mobile portal. MSN Mobile will now feature miniature banner ads which conform to U.S. mobile advertising guidelines provided by the Mobile Marketing Association. Jaguar Cars North America and Paramount Pictures are the first companies to take advantage of this new mobile ad space. "By incorporating advertising on MSN Mobile, we are allowing advertisers to extend their existing campaigns from PCs to games and now to mobile phones, further delivering on our vision to extend advertising across multiple platforms and devices," opined Joanne Bradford, corporate vice president and chief media officer of MSN. Microsoft already displays mobile ads in a number of countries, including Japan, Spain, France, and the UK.
